Please contact Megan Wright at megan.s.wright22@gmail.com, for help with equipment.

Game jerseys are rented out during the season.  The cost to rent the jersey is $30 for the season. The money from the jersey rental is used to replace the game jerseys throughout the years. Key Youth Hockey Equipment Sizing Guide:

  • Helmet (18-21 inches): Measure around the head about one inch above the eyebrows. The helmet should feel snug, not rotate, and not have a large gap at the forehead.
  • Skates (Youth 8-13 or 1-5): Generally fit 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than regular street shoes. Toes should just lightly touch the toe cap when standing.
  • Shin Guards (8-13 inches): Measure from the center of the kneecap to the top of the skate boot. Guards should cover the knee to the top of the skate, with a 1-2 inch overlap with hockey pants.
  • Hockey Pants (Waist 20-30 inches): Based on waist size. Pants should fit comfortably at the waist and cover the top of the knee/shin guard.
  • Shoulder Pads: Should cover the collarbone, chest, and shoulder cap, without hindering neck movement.
  • Elbow Pads: Should cover from the bottom of the shoulder pad to the top of the glove cuff.
  • Gloves: Measure from the elbow pad edge to the fingertips. Fingers should just reach the end of the glove without pushing through.
  • Stick: The stick should reach the player's chin while they are in skates, or between the chin and nose when in shoes. Youth flex should be roughly half the child's weight (e.g., 60 lbs = 30 flex).

General Tips:

  • Fit for Protection: Ensure there are no significant gaps between pads to protect against pucks and falls.
  • Growth Room: Avoid buying gear that is too large, as it limits movement and reduces protective capacity.
  • Weight Matters: For many pads, weight is a better indicator of size than age.
