Locker Room Monitor
In accordance with USA Hockey, a safe sport and background checked adult must be in the Locker room at all times when players Squirt, Peewee or Bantam age are present.
Rink Rat and Mite level skaters do not need safe sport monitors present as they will have parents/guardians in the locker room at all times to help assist with dressing.
Locker room monitors will need to be approved by the head team parent to ensure we have an even amount of volunteers per team. Background check, Safe sport and registration with Wayha for Locker Room monitor will all need to be included once approved. Locker room monitors are expected to signup for at least 30 slots (practices and games) to receive the full volunteer credit hours.
Here are the expectations:
🔸️For practice, arrive at least 20 minutes before practice starts. The kids are expected to be on the ice on time and several arrive 20-30 minutes before practice.
🔸️If there isn't a LR monitor, then girls and boys need to exit the LR and wait for a monitor to arrive.
🔸️For games, arrive at least 45 minutes early. The kids need to warm up and the girls need to be in the boys LR 15 minutes before the game starts. An hour is ideal. If there isn't a designated girls LR, you'll have to take turns, so arrive early.
🔸️There has to be 3 people in the LR at all times, unless it's your child (2 adults and 1 skater or 2 skaters and 1 adult).
